The Peoria County Courthouse, Veterans Assistance Commission, Election Commission, and Highway Department offices will be closed this Monday, February 20. These departments will reopen on Tuesday, February 21.
The Peoria City/County Health Department offices will not be affected by the holiday and will retain normal business hours, including those offices temporarily located in the facilities listed above. Please call ahead before visiting.
Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS) will also be closed Monday, but Saturday adoptions and other normal weekend functions will not be affected. Animal control officers can be reached at 309-674-3131 on the holiday.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, Jail, and Juvenile Detention Center will remain staffed and functioning, but records and in-person visitation will be closed Monday. Inmates can still be visited remotely throughout the closure, and the bonding lobby will retain normal hours as well.
